Web Hosting Provider WiredTree Launches New Range of Network Upgrades

Greatresponder.com – 2011-08-29 – On Monday, the managed innovative web hosting company WiredTree made the announcement that it has aquired a new range of new network upgrades to its downtown Chicago data center.

This new upgrade came in about a week after the web hosting provider WiredTree was named #254 on the Inc. 500 list.

The web hosting company WiredTree claims that the new innovative network hardware is accompanied by amplified connectivity. The company also says that both moves will ensure reliability at its 162,000 square foot facility.

Furthermore WiredTree has traded its edge routers with Brocade MLxe routers that are fully IPv6 compatible and expandable to 100 GB, according to the press release made by the company. WiredTree says the routers are capable of 15.36 Tbps and 4.8 billion packets per second routing.

“Our overhaul of network infrastructure at our Chicago data center is an investment of nearly a half a million dollars,” Zac Cogswell, president of WiredTree said in a statement. “Our managed dedicated servers and managed hosting services have rapidly grown to become incredibly popular and we are focused on ensuring that as WiredTree continues to grow, our network can handle the growth. This new range of network upgrades will help us satisfy our existing customers and pave the way for even greater growth.”

WiredTree says its core switching gear has been upgraded to the Brocade FastIron SX800 series. This change was made to provide the companies clients with full line rate performance on 10Gbe ports and 464Gbps of data switching capability.

WiredTree has four tier one web hosting providers, Level3, Savvis, Global Crossing and NTT. This ensemble will enable the company to bring the total Internet connectivity of the data center to 80Gbps.

“By starting to enable IPv6, we are preparing for the future of the Internet,” Cogswell added. “But perhaps more importantly, we are securing our own future in this business. Since 2006 we have had our focus on the long-term ambition of the company and how we can evolve alongside our customers – keeping our technology current is a significant part of this ongoing process. What’s more, we are now able to offer even more assurance as to the reliability of our network, including our new 100 percent network uptime service level agreement.”
