This announcement comes a few weeks after data center operator Next Generation Data announced its plans to invest over $20 million of USD to expand its Wales data center facility.

According to the company press release, the 7,500 square foot, Tier IV data center first opened in January 2010 and has already reached capacity.

A report by DatacenterDynamics magazine says the expansion will add over 200 new racks to the existing 330 racks of space.

“We have seen great demand for space from many large financial services firms and see no sign of this trend abating in the near future, as organizations continue to seek reliable and available data centers,” Brickett added. “The new hall offers ample space and power in the only Uptime Institute accredited Tier IV data center in the UK.”
