This partnership will be to provide charity in order to change the lives of children with chronic medical conditions and their families.

To raise money for the Victory Junction foundation, the web hosting provider will be donating five percent of all online sales, up to $50,000, starting Friday and throughout the weekend.

The Public Interest Registry (PIR), ORG will also be supporting this charity by matching all the funds donated by GoDaddy.com. This will raise a total of $100,000 for Victory Junction.

The Victory Junction foundation accepted last year $50,000 in donation thanks to GoDaddy.com. Which means that the company was able to donate the maximum amount that it has set as a limit. 20 campers had the opportunity to participate in a 2011 summer camp session at Victory Junction thanks to this donation.

“Once again, Go Daddy has raised the bar by being a socially conscious corporate leader and giving NASCAR’s loyal fan base an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children. Go Daddy gets things done and really does make a difference with their charity work.” said the co-founder of Victory Junction and former NASCAR driver, Kyle Petty.

In 2012, 40 summer campers will be able to enter the Victory Junction’s gates for the experience of a lifetime free of cost, thanks to the renewal of this campaign with GoDaddy.com and the extra support by .ORG which will provide a total of $100,000 in donations.

This announcement came about a week after the web hosting provider reached it’s 50 million domain name milestone.

As stated in the press release, the web hosting company is now adding more than 10,000 SSL certificates to its portfolio. In a statement, the report also claims that that their closest competitor grew by half that amount.

“Go Daddy is serious about protecting its customers’ data,” Go Daddy CEO and founder Bob Parsons said in a statement. “It’s important to secure your website, but it doesn’t have to cost a lot. Think about it, Go Daddy provides world-class customer care and an SSL certificate that is identical to our competitors — all at less than half the price of most providers. I don’t have to tell you, saving money is important to people these days.”

Go Daddy claims its growing in this industry has been “dramatic” this year. This is including its July announcement that it managed more than a half million SSL certificates. According to the press release, in August, Netcraft ranked Go Daddy as the second largest EV SSL provider in the world.

According to Go Daddy, its SSL certificates include an unlimited server license and free 24 x 7 customer support.

Greatresponder – 2011-08-21 – On Thursday, the web hosting provider and leading domain registrar Go Daddy has made he announcement that it has implemented Trend Micro Deep Security to protect systems in its data centers, as stated in a recent press release.

The announcement of this 4th generation cloud-based web hosting was made about a month after the company announced its highly anticipated acquisition by KKR, Silver Lake and Technology Crossover Ventures. The calculated investment are claimed to be within the $2 billion range, even with the deal in not finalized yet.

Go Daddy is known for being the go-to company for domain name registration and a household name in the web hosting industry. Nonetheless this was the web hosting company’s first major step in the cloud web hosting sector. Go Daddy has currently 9.4 million customers. The web hosting company manages also more than 49 million domain names. Those facts will very likely ensure high adoption from their huge demographics.

Last month, in a report about Go Daddy, made by GigaOm, claims were made about the web hosting company launching in July though it called the service “Data Center on Demand.” According to the press release, Go Daddy was “in the cloud before the term was coined” but 4GH is the next level of cloud services.

“4GH was created to help our customers succeed,” Go Daddy CEO and founder Bob Parsons said in a statement. “For example, a customer would be mentioned on Oprah or CNN and suddenly their web server had more traffic than it was designed to handle. We’d quickly move them to a dedicated server to protect them, along with our other shared hosting customers. It was like an epiphany – we needed a new platform that could react immediately. You could say, with 4GH our customers who suddenly find themselves in the limelight won’t miss their ’15 minutes of fame.’”

The plans start at $4.99 per month for an economy version. The deluxe plan is $7.99 per month or the ultimate plan is $14.99 per month.

Greatresponder.com – 2011-07-04 – Go Daddy web hosting and domain registrar giant has sold a major piece to a business group of private equity for around $2.5 billion USD. As reported just week ago, the group is led by KKR & Company, Silver Lake Technology Crossover Ventures and will assume all of Go Daddy Inc.’s debt as well as its assets.

As the world bigest domain registrar company, GoDaddy have over 9.4 million customers and manages over than 48 million domain names in different domain zones. Despite such impressive stats, Go Daddy web hosting and domain registrar has reported consecutive annual losses with very small growth only during the latest fiscal year.

For at least the time being, current CEO and President mr. Robert Parsons will remain in that position, and has stated the company’s plans to expand its offerings by increasing its international presence and moving its hosting solutions into the cloud based infrastructure. Mr. Parsons founded Go Daddy web hosting company in 1997 year and in 2006 failed in his attempt to go public, citing poor market conditions when withdrawing its IPO.

Whether this acquisition is considered an investment or a purchase, mr. Parsons is reported to remain GoDaddy’s biggest single shareholder while the new private equity group of companies becomes the biggest corporative investor.

Silver Lake has a great experience of flipping and growing different Internet companies, with the sale of Skype communicator for around $8.5 billion to Microsoft Corporation, after purchasing it from EBay corporation several years ago for only $2 billion. KKR and Silver Lake are familiar partners with their 2005 group investment of Avago Technologies, while TCV leads a group of firms that has invested a reported $135 million in Facebook. Silver Lake and TCV are co-investors in the leading daily deal site Groupon and the social gaming company Zynga.

In conclusion we just want to note that $2.5 billion USD is a biggest investment for hosting company ever made before.

Greatresponder.com – 2011-06-25 – Web hosting giant and most popular domain registrar Go Daddy is very close to being acquired by private equity companies KKR & Co and Silver Lake Partners for between $2 billion and $2.5 billion, according to several well trusted reports on Friday.

At this point of time, the deal has not been approved by either party. Reports on the Wall Street Journal and Reuters say a source close to the matter has said the deal could close as early as next within week.

Go Daddy initially shopped around for buyers in September 2010, but Bloomberg says the company was looking for a higher evaluation. In September the number sat around $1 billion.

Bloomberg says that the web hosting giant and most popular domain registrar Go Daddy is an attractive buy because its primary customer base is small businesses, a market that has seen tremendous growth in the past few years.

Go Daddy is arguably the most well-known domain registrar and web hosting company outside of the hosting industry, as its wide-reaching marketing campaigns anchored by flashy Superbowl commercials and spokeswomen including race-car driver Danica Patrick and personal trainer Jillian Michaels of Biggest Loser fame.

Recently, reports surfaced that say Go Daddy is set to launch its cloud web hosting service in July or August. This move could noticeably increase its customer base even more as consumers look for ways to release first class cloud computing infrastructures for their small businesses.

If this deal went through, it should be the largest acquisition of a web hosting provider and domain registrar.

GoDaddy web hosting company hosts over 46 million domain names under management, which is more than any other registrar by far. So, GoDaddy is a largest domain providers in the world. GoDaddy web hosting and domain registrar company was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, US.

Greatresponder.com – 2011-06-15 – One of the biggest web hosting providers and domain registrars Go Daddy experienced an outage on its website Monday after software update. According to a report, Go Daddy did software update and for some reason it went wrong. As result it cause noticeable website downtime.

This downtime comes a week after Go Daddy announced it now protects over than 500,000 web sites with its unique SSL certificates and other affordable security solution.

Turning back to this accident, Go Daddy’s home page was completely offline for approximately 3 hours on Monday evening though visitors were redirected to a mobile version of the site that was available and worked fine.

“We made some changes to our website, and those updates failed,” Neil Warner, chief information officer for Go Daddy said in a statement. “As a result, Go Daddy.com went down. No customer account information was compromised. This was not an attack on Go Daddy servers. We caused the issue, not someone else.”

The report says that the mobile version of Go Daddy website allowed users to continue to manage domain names, accounts and all transactions. So, despite the issue which happened due to software update, Go Daddy web hosting service continued to provide customers with minimal set of necessary functions to manage accounts, prolong domains and web hosting service. And that’s definitely good sign.

Go Daddy web hosting providers and domain registrar apologized for the length of the outage, saying it was longer than it was expected.

“My team is investigating what went wrong with our site update process so we can avoid an issue like this in the future,” Warner stated.

Also few days ago, Go Daddy announced it was expanding its team at its Iowa primary customer service center by 300 employees.

Summarize on Go Daddy web hosting and domain registrar company:
Go Daddy – the world’s largest ICANN accredited registrar of domain names. Go Daddy group supports more than 34 million domain names in the major domain areas of the first level, including the COM, ORG, NET, BIZ, INFO.

Greatresponder.com – 2011-06-08 – Go Daddy one of the biggest domain registrar and Web hosting company that also sells SSL certificates and other products announced on Monday that it now protects over 500,000 websites with its branded SSL certificates.

According to the press release, Go Daddy was top SSL provider during May. During May Go Daddy company sold over branded SSL certificates 13,000.

Go Daddy provides various SSL certificates with different specs including digital seal. Additionally Go Daddy has serious advantage comparing to other SSL providers.

Go Daddy SSL certificates comes with unlimited server license. It means that companies can purchase a single certificate for their entire infrastructure. As result it could save some money.

All of Go Daddy’s SSL certificates provide visitors to a website visual assurance through the https prefix and padlock icon on a browser. EV SSL certificates also provide a green address bar.

Additionally it worth to note, that last week domain registry .CO Internet announced that Go Daddy had registered the one millionth .CO domain.

Commenting company achievement, Go Daddy CEO and Founder Bob Parsons said:
“While it is significant that Go Daddy has issued more than a half-million SSL certificates, there are still too many people being ‘taken to the cleaners’ by other providers who charge their ridiculously high prices. In this economy, businesses need to be looking for the best possible value. Think about it, Go Daddy customers receive an identical SSL product as competitors, but with outstanding customer service and for up to 15 times less the cost … now that can make a difference.”
