HP Launches Expanded Helion Cloud Computing Portfolios

HPThe expanded cloud computing solutions of Helion Managed Virtual Private Cloud (H-MVPC) would enable companies to accomplish a rapid transition to the cloud.

It was announced by the HP Corporation on Monday, March 16, 2015 through an official statement that it has launched an innovative and pre-configured IaaS cloud computing services in the Hellion cloud computing platform. This expansion of the cloud computing services would enable the companies to rapidly complete the transition to the cloud.

It was further informed in the statement that the newly expanded cloud platform would integrate seven pre-configured and pre-priced solutions based on the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) for its famous Helion Managed Virtual Private Cloud. The VPC servers would be preconfigured for different types of workloads such as CRM, Data Warehousing, SharePoint, SAP applications, Oracle CX, data mining, application development and others as further elaborated in the statement of the company.

While talking about this new cloud computing service portfolios, The managing director for the South Pacific region, Mr. Nick Wilson said, “The customers wanted a simplified experience when finding and implementing workload specific solutions in the Cloud; and, creating pre-configured solutions for the most frequently used workloads make it easier to quickly implement managed VPC solutions and help ease the organization’s transition to the New Style of IT”. He further added that, “HP Helion Managed VPC now offers four virtual server configurations for lighter enterprise class workloads and three physical server configurations for business-critical production workloads that require dedicated servers”.

Talking about the features and capabilities of this new launch of cloud computing solution portfolio, it was informed in the statement that the platform supports a large range of heterogeneous applications, app up gradation schemes and application implementations. It will also increase the open source hybrid cloud solutions based on Cloud Foundry, OpenStack, and Amazon AWS.

The Oracle Business Applications have also been implemented in the innovative cloud ecosystems to help enterprises deploy and manage the Oracle applications through HP Helion managed cloud platform very fast and easily.

A large number of value added features, tools and upgrades have been implemented on this platform to increase the efficiency of the cloud applications and reduce the cost of cloud services.

It was also informed in the statement that the newly launched cloud platform is available for purchase from different 24 locations across the globe.

Cisco Systems & Microsoft to Jointly Launch a Comprehensive Cloud Computing Platform

Both IT giants – Cisco & Microsoft – to launch an integrated cloud computing platform that will enable service providers to reduce cost and time for hybrid cloud service delivery.

While talking about the features and capabilities of this comprehensive cloud platform, it was elaborated that this platform will allow service providers to deliver different services at DevOps speed. The main services that can be delivered very fast will include disaster recovery services, network services, enterprise application services, big data management services and others. This platform will be available with preloaded policy management libraries that will help clients not only to deliver services fast but also with a consistent policy management capabilities. This architecture will also enhance the native load capabilities of its existing OpenStack based cloud architecture and will accomplish the increasing demands of traditional enterprise applications.

Meanwhile, the intention of Cisco Systems Corporation to launch the first reference architecture of this platform in the start of the second quarter of 2015 was also announced.
