NTI Joins Hands to Support Acer’s ‘BYOC’ Cloud Computing Partnership Program

acerBuild Your Own Cloud “BYOC” is an Acer’s futuristic private cloud computing platform development program, which is designed to provide cheap and robust private cloud solution to the prospective customers.

This was formally announced by both of the companies – NTI Corporation and Acers Corporation – in Taipei yesterday that they have joined together to support the BYOC cloud computing platform proposed by the Acer Corporation. Now, NTI Corporation will be official partner of this futuristic project to develop the private cloud computing service platform with minimal resources.

It was further elaborated about this program that BYOC is an ambitious private cloud computing program, which being developed by the Acer Corporation. This program will enable the consumers as well as businesses to have private cloud service, in which the customer can assess its digital content anywhere and anytime from both the mobile and fixed devices – computers and smart phones. This platform will enable the customers to build a seamless connection between the computers and mobile devices in a private cloud computing service environment. Acer’s BYOC platform will offer options to the customers to build multi-network, multi-device and cross platform to access the contents seamlessly and smoothly through the private cloud platform.

The official statement further maintained that Acer is focusing on providing this featured platform at very small usage of resources, investment and time. Meanwhile, it was announced that this partnership between NTI and Acers would be very useful for both of the company. The NTI owns a vast experience and expertise in software, data backup and cloud storage services, which will be very beneficial for this project.

While talking about the prospects of this partnership, the CEO of NTI Corporation, Bill Yao said, “NTI has been a software supplier to Acer since 1999; it’s both an honor and our responsibility to be a member of Acer’s BYOC (Build Your Own Cloud) alliance.  We believe in Acer’s strong vision, and we are very confident that our software expertise will help realize that vision.”

At the same time, the president of the Acer’s Tablet Business Group and BYOC alliance, Mr. Maverick Shih commented in his official statement that, “We’re happy to have NTI as a BYOC member; NTI is among the first software companies to join our alliance.  Collaboration with member companies such as NTI will maximize BYOC’s success.”
