Leading Cloud Healthcare Specialist ClearData lands $14 Million for Boosting Its Cloud Computing Services in Healthcare Sector

For, it has landed as much as $14 million as a series B funding. This is the second round of Series B funding – first round of $7 million was secured in the month of August this year.

GreatResponder.Com – This was announced by CEO of the company Mr. Daren Brannan in his statement this week that cloud computing based technology service provider ClearData has managed to land as much as $14 million for its ambitious program to provide aggressive health care service in the domain of the healthcare industry. The first installment of $7 million was secured a few months back and remaining $7 million were secured this week. It was further elaborated in their statement that this concludes the series B funding pursuit of the company.

While providing the details about the investors, CEO Daren Brannan informed that Merck Global Health Innovation, which is the strategic partner of the company has been the contributor in this fundraising campaign. Other investors in the second round of funding included Excel Venture Management and Norwest Venture Partners. In his statement CEO of the company said, “The IT demands in healthcare organizations are greater than ever – and they will continue to grow as big data and analytics take hold in the industry”. He further added that, “Our investors recognize the escalating need for hosting and services in the cloud that can help these organizations reduce IT costs while improving productivity, reliability, security, regulatory compliance, business continuity and agility”.

In connection to this investment and a few earlier investments in the domain of cloud computing technology in health care industry, it is very clear that cloud computing in healthcare vertical is getting bigger and bigger with the passage of time.

It is anticipated by the expert in the health care industry that there is a large scope of cloud computing based technical applications and solutions in this sector. Owing to the fact that the health care industry has adhered to its legacy procedures due to the sensitivity of the data – and now after substantial security and quality enhancements in cloud domain, there is a huge scope of cloud based technologies in the near future in the field of health care industry.
