Greatresponder.com on Oct 18, 2012: A multi-tier web hosting partnership program has been launched by ‘Magento’ ecommerce solution provider for establishing a sustainable partnerships with web hosting provider companies on the domain of hosting business. This was announced by the company management through a press release statement on Tuesday October 16, 2012. This web hosting partnership program comprises multiple levels of partnerships and revenue sharing.
It was further informed in the press release statement that this program is divided into three levels to best facilitate the interest of different web hosting companies on the market place. These three levels are Platinum, Gold and Silver; gold level of partnership is also called as simple Helix while silver as neo-verve. There are many existing web hosting partners in platinum tier including Peer1; this is important to note that Magento named Peer1 as the partner of the year in last April.
Press release further states that this newly devised partnership program would include many features, which would prove very beneficial for web hosting as well as for its ecommerce customers. These features include, software training, expanded visibility, promotional offers across PayPal, X commerce and Marketplaces etc.
In his statement, Mr. Kevin Strawbridge, ecommerce specialist at PEER 1 web hosting said, “Essentially, we have gone from Magento being a partner to PEER 1 Hosting to PEER 1 Hosting being a partner to Magento. This is significant because anyone can say that they will host and support Magento without the blessing of Magento. In this case, Magento decided it was better to establish a program of trusted partners that they could manage and rely on for consistent service. Magento (a division of eBay) asked PEER 1 Hosting to join them as a Platinum partner based on the hundreds of installations to date and the close ties in testing and tuning the product offering.”
