Greatresponder.com on Sep. 21, 2012 : Chinese web hosting service provider 21ViaNet holdings acquired another Chinese company called FastWeb holdings; FastWeb holdings is a content delivery network operating on Chinese market place. This was announced by 21ViaNet web hosting company on Thursday September 20, 2012. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed in its press statement.
This is very important to note that the combination of content delivery network and web hosting service provider is being implemented as the best service with value addition in it. Earlier than this acquisition, CDN Akamai Technologies acquired content accelerating software company during the course of one week time. It was also informed that the CEO of Fastweb CDN would join 21ViaNet web hosting company and would serve as chief software officer or CSO.

It was further explained in the statement that with this acquisition, 21ViaNet web hosting would be able to distribute its value added services to its Chinese customer through a huge number of POP of FastWeb holdings spread across the country. At present, more than 150 point of presence or POPs of FastWeb hosting are available across the country.
