Greatresponder.com – 2011-08-10 – On Wednesday, an announcement was made regarding the web hosting conference, HostingCon 2012. The special interest media company iNET Interactive announced that the new location of HostingCon 2012 will be in Boston, Massachusetts. The event will be held on July 16 through 18 at the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center.
This event that has been an important conference and trade show serving the hosted services industry has been happening yearly for the last 8 years.
This decision to hold the conference in the city of Boston follows previous HostingCon locations such as inSan Diego, Austin, Washington DC, Chicago and Las Vegas.
The already prosperous HostingCon 2011, which wraps up in San Diego Wednesday, has people and visitors from more than 35 countries.
“Boston has earned a worldwide reputation for its wonderful blend of stylish sophistication and historic New England charm,” said Tanya Applegate, event operations manager for HostingCon. “It attracts over 18 million people annually for work and for play.”
The New England city is a main transport hub for air, rail, and car, with the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center located just about four miles from Boston’s Logan International Airport and less than half a mile from the Amtrak train station.
The convention center is situated in the Back Bay neighborhood, which deals many shops, restaurants, nightlife and unique attractions – all this and more within only walking distances.
The WHIR was acquired in March by iNet Interactive, joining the company’s other major entities, HostingCon and Web Hosting Talk.
