Greatresponder.com – 2011-08-01 – On Thursday, the cloud automation solutions provider GBS Enterprises made the announcement that it has acquired the operator of data center and colocation and web hosting provider IDC Global Networks. The terms of the acquisition were not revealed.
The transaction will enable data center operator to provide their clientele with the required infrastructure to deliver a comprehensive end-to-end solution. This will be provided to the clients regardless of their platforms as stated GBS.
The colocation and web hosting provider IDC Global Networks provides a range of solutions including colocation, hosting, managed services, network security, WAN, and wireless services.
The company also helps clients make the transition from big, expensive on-premise computing centers to dynamic, flexible and economical off-premise computing solutions. The company also has data centers in Chicago, New York and even London.
GBC will be able to extend its offering into the areas of infrastructure-as-a-service as well as web hosting and outsourcing capabilities for its customer base.
