Greatresponder.com – 2011-07-01 – Well known IT services provider and NTT Holdings subsidiary, Dimension Data, announced yesterday that it has purchased cloud web hosting services provider OpSource. The financial details of the deal is unknown and kept private.
The deal should help Dimension Data company to accelerate its cloud based computing services offerings, adding full OpSource’s range of cloud and managed web hosting solutions to its refreshed portfolio.
As a subsidiary of NTT Holdings, Dimension Data is a $4.7 billion ICT services and solutions provider company.
According to press release, the company provides “multi-national advanced systems integration projects, coupled with its managed services, data center and storage, and security expertise,” which helps clients to accelerate the transition to cloud technology.
Dimension Data has created a centralized Cloud Solutions Business Unit which will report directly to Dimension Data’s CEO, Brett Dawson. OpSource will become part of the Dimension Data Cloud Solutions Business Unit.
With over 150 employees under its belt, OpSource cloud web hosting is headquartered in Santa Clara, California with operations offices in different locations including North Virginia, United Kingdom, Ireland and even India.
OpSource cloud web hosting company currently provides cloud automation services to over 600 enterprises, service providers and software vendors, so they can easily operate cloud computing and hosting environments.
