Greatresponder.com – 2011-06-24 – Well known US based web hosting provider Rebel Networks announced few days ago that it has partnered with cloud hosting platform developer OnApp to offer cloud hosting infrastructure as a solutions to both web hosting companies and end user customers.
Rebel Networks web hosting says its customized cloud services will provide both private and public solutions, including web servers, SAN web storage and bandwidth, built around OnApp’s web hosting cloud management software platform. Rebel Networks company says it will provide web hosting companies with an affordable and simple way to launch their own cloud hosting products.
In bootcamp that was organized by both the Parallels and World Hosting Days, representatives from OnApp software company have specified some of the costs of entering the cloud web hosting market for all web hosting providers. And it was pleased to know that is not astronomical sum when using a pre-packaged cloud web hosting platform versus developing the platform internally from scratch, the up-front infrastructure costs alone are significantly more than the fairly simple entry into the dedicated or shared hosting markets.
Rebel Networks web hosting seems to be aiming the reseller piece of its cloud hosting solution at that segment of the hosting business that lacks the resources to make that up-front infrastructure investment.
Rebel Networks web hosting company says it currently offers the back-end infrastructure for over 50 web hosting resellers, many of whom are interested in offering cloud services, but don’t necessarily want to tie their services to another cloud product, such as Amazon’s AWS.
In its press release, Rebel Networks web hosting company says it is poised to capture thousands of new web hosting resellers by offering them a turn-key cloud service based on first class Dell server hardware, Windows or Linux operational systems, WHMCS billing software and OnApp leading cloud platform solution.
