Posted By: Gary Quill on September 18, 2007 at 11:37 am

Web hosting and domain names provider Go Daddy announces the sponsorship deal, a multi-million dollar deal for ESPN TV’s on Saturday night college football games.

GoDaddy.com is starting to push into prime time sports after they sponsorship the ESPN TV for Saturday night college football, which they will start at September 22, 2007.

With this deal GoDaddy.com becomes the official sponsor that present the Saturday night football games, this is by placing GoDaddy logo and starting a number of commercials on the ESPN sports network and also its affiliates, like ABC TV. This move comes as a result after the GoDaddy succeeded with the broadcast sponsor for 2007 Indianapolis 500 Race and the other sponsorship of IndyCar driver and GoDaddy Girl Danica Patrick.

GoDaddy web hosting one of the largest domain registrars started to make a name for itself with this kind of advertising, and now they are moving into a new role as a sponser for collegiate football.

“This is an audience we really like. The vast majority are Internet users, and the best part of it is these viewers are absolutely passionate,” said GoDaddy.com CEO and Founder Bob Parsons. “Our research shows college football fans rank third for fan intensity behind the NFL and NASCAR.”
